Oil Pulling is a growing trend, but it’s been around for thousands of years. It’s a way of cleansing yourself of harmful bacteria, benefiting your smile and overall health. But first, I want you to think of high school biology and all the stuff we learned about the pH scale. on a scale 1-14 your body should strive to be between a 7.30 to 7.45.
If you’d like to test where you land on a pH scale, you can test your saliva or urine first thing in the morning before having anything to eat or drink on Litmus paper, (available on Amazon) Just like in high school. (YAY, Reminisce)
Your body’s pH is affected by you diet. I highly recommend having a balanced diet between acidic foods and alkaline foods. You will find that body fluids are salty, like seawater, just like the 7 on the scale, always remember that your body is made mostly of water, and its always good to keep you levels balanced, obtaining the perfect balance will boosts your immune system among other benefits.

you will need
– 1 tsp
– A human (alive)
So now, as soon as you wake up in the morning, you take 1tbsp of coconut oil and swish it around your mouth for 15-20 minutes. this is the difficult part, because its not exactly pleasant, but this is when you’re supposed to mentally go to a happy place and distract yourself from the way it feels in your mouth.
Now, after the 20 minutes, you spit your swished coconut oil in the sink.
This removes the bacteria in your mouth and helps: whiten teeth as well as soothe irritated gums, fight plaque, gingivitis, and bad breath causing germs. Basically, this prevents tooth decay and helps you save on crazy dental bills… you can’t lose with this, guys. If you remember to floss regularly and brush at least twice day, you’ll be golden.
