Hair removal

Hello Ladies and Gentleman.

First,  I’d like to say that hair removal is a personal choice, and only your choice.

There’s: Sugaring, Depilating, Epilating and Laser hair removal.

Sugaring is a form of waxing, or Persian waxing. As someone who bought all types of waxes from pharmacies and beauty supply stores, I spent a small fortune on wax when I could have made my own at home with: Sugar, Water, Lemon juice, Fire, A sauce pan, A mixing spoon, and cotton strips.

Directions

mix 1 cup of sugar, the juice of half a lemon, and a tbsp of water together.

Next, add this to your sauce pan and heat it to 118°C, and to 121°C. ( Keep mixing while it’s in the sauce pan ) your mixture will change color to a golden brown. You will know its ready when you’ve reached a gel like consistency that you’re comfortable with. (This mixture can burn)

Pour the mix into a microwave safe tupperware and wait for it to cool. Once it cools you can heat it up in the microwave and warm it up to your desired consistency and heat. Apply with the grain. Apply a cotton strip on top, Remove against the grain. BOO-YAH

you can keep the left over mix, and re-heat it for your next use. yay money saving!

Depilating

this means NOT removing the hair from the root. Such as shaving & hair removal creams.

If you’d like to find new products, a great website is http://www.folica.com

for all your hair needs.

Depilating Tips

-Never depilate on irritated or broken skin.

-Always use water, shaving cream and new razors.

-Exfoliate before and after to prevent ingrown hair.

-Always moisturize after Depilating.

Epilating

Epilating this is my personal fave! epilating is basically like waxing, without the wax. they look like electrical razors, but they have hundreds of tiny tweezers inside them and they pluck out the hairs. if you decide to do this, always epilate against the grain to prevent ingrown hairs.

Laser Hair Removal is not permanent, but now its available to do this at home. Yay.

these machines are also available on Folica, they’re easy to use & they’re a good investment.

I currently own the Silk’n SensEpil which uses disposable cartridges also available on Folica.

the product comes with a DVD to help teach you the proper way to use this.

this product works best on dark hair and fair skin.

the laser treatment will not work on blonde hair/ dark skin.

I hope you found this helpful.

always, ML
